"There are so many people that need help and people just walk by or they don't even stop. We need to stop and help people and not be afraid to help." It's a direct and simple statement from, Marian, a volunteer and client at Valley Outreach.

She recently shared her experiences and we believe they perfectly illustrate the impact your support has on our community.

Prior to the pandemic, Valley Outreach saw a 25% increase in the use of food, clothing, resource assistance and case management programs year over year. The need is not going away and continues to grow. In March, Valley Outreach introduced drive-up, contactless food distribution. We are serving nearly 400 families each week. We've seen a 40% increase in the use of food programs, with 8% of people new to Valley Outreach.

The generosity of the community keeps us going strong so we'll always be here for people when they need help. Thank you!

Masks for Good: Rene Heimer, and her daughter, Tanya Gerald, have teamed up to make and sell high-quality masks for kids, adults and XL adults with all proceeds going to Valley Outreach. They are up to $19,000 in donations and hope to reach $20,000 by the end of 2020. Check out the Facebook group to purchase.

Party Ball Fundraiser: Our friend, Don Arneson, is hosting another Party Ball fundraiser for Valley Outreach this year. You can either purchase and pick-up an orb frame to decorate with lights at home or you can order one pre-made. (See picture in the header of this email.)

Karly's Tree of Lights: For the past five years, Lois and Gregg Swope have hosted a fundraiser for Valley Outreach in memory of their daughter Karly. They have a goal of raising $2,500 this year and have set up an online fundraiser on GiveMN.org.
