Women with substance use challenges face many social barriers including misperceptions, judgment, and stigma. These experiences can also occur in the process of their seeking treatment including access to gender specific services. It is the aim of these presentations to provide social workers, clinicians and administrators with enhanced awareness, knowledge and skills toward the elimination of health inequities and improved patient experience of care.
