Elder Tree will have the pleasure of hearing Jean Weaver share her life story. Jean has been a member of this church for many years and has much to tell about. Black Lives Matter Silent Vigil - Saturday, March 20 at Noon
All are invited to participate in these weekly silent vigils, held each Saturday at noon at various locations. Led by Elders and Allies of Black Lives Matter Free the People ROC, the locations for this Saturday, March 20 are: Route 250 & Route 404 (Ridge Road) in Webster and at 16 W. Main Street in Honeoye Falls. Masks and physical distancing are required. Since these vigils are focused entirely on Black Lives Matter, only signs supporting BLM are encouraged. Questions? This Day in Recovery: 365 Meditations” Book Launch - Saturday, March 20 at 1:00 PM
Let’s come together to continue an honest dialogue in our denomination about recovery! Please join co-authors Revs. Lane Campbell and Katie Kandarian-Morris as they launch and celebrate the new Skinner House publication, This Day in Recovery: 365 Meditations. This book seeks to be a resource for Unitarian Universalists and spiritual seekers whose lives have been touched by addiction. They will share some of the stories as to how this book came about, read some excerpts from the book, and have some time for questions and answers. First Unitarian Church is co-sponsoring this event with First Universalist Church of Rochester. Join via Zoom.
An online memorial service honoring beloved longtime member Woody Thomas will be held on Saturday, March 20 at 4:00 PM in the church’s main Zoom room.

Congregational Meeting - Sunday, March 28 at 11:30 AM
The First Unitarian Church of Rochester, NY, Board of Trustees voted at its January 11, 2021, meeting to call a Special Congregational Meeting (per Bylaws Section 4.3) for the first reading of three proposed bylaws changes. The meeting will be held via the same Zoom link as is used for worship services. Learn more here.
Environmental Justice Ministry invites you to The Climate of Change Series
Our EJM is a member of the Climate Solutions Accelerator (previously RPCC), which is offering a 22 day program of learning and action for intersectional climate justice in Rochester and beyond which begins Thursday, April 1 and culminates on Earth Day, April 22. Learn more and sign up for this series here. A $40 fee helps expand the work of the Accelerator, but scholarships are available.
