GAS & GROCERY GIFTS
Inflation is impacting us all, but for the families at Guadalupe School, the rising prices are making even basic needs unaffordable. Gas prices have inflated to record heights and are up by 200%! Some parents can't afford gas, and therefore some students have been unable to come to school. Guadalupe School hopes to purchase gas/grocery gift cards to help families in need during this unprecedented time of inflation. Please help by donating to Guadalupe School today! Your donation will ensure our students make it to school, and have food security at home. Thank you!
OUR STUDENTS ARE CATCHING UP!
We couldn't be more proud of our students this school year. They have been working hard to catch up and get back on track after COVID caused widespread learning loss. We are happy to report that 45% of our students are currently back at grade level in math. This is a jump from just 14% at the beginning of the year. That is tremendous progress! We know that the number will grow even more as our students continue to work hard through the end of the school year.

Our teachers and staff have been working tirelessly to get our students back on track. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to expand our Afterschool Program to include more students than ever before,  including preschool students. The extra hours of tutoring and homework help has proved to be vital in our student's growth. Guadalupe School will be running a large Summer School again this year so our kids can keep up the good work.

It has truly taken the efforts of the entire community to increase our programs to better serve our students during the pandemic. Our efforts are working, and while we still have a long way to go, we are confident that our students will thrive. Thank you!
Transforming Lives Through Education
HOPE WEEK
To help our students achieve their very best, Guadalupe's Hope Squad reminds them that simple acts of kindness and communication can help their classmates during a difficult time. We recently held a weeklong event to empower our students to grow into their own unique personalities. Read about it now!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Want to lend a hand where it really counts? Our Adult Education tutoring program needs volunteers! Adult Education utilizes volunteer tutors to teach English as a Second Language to low-income, immigrant adults. No teaching experience or second language required, just a commitment of 2-hours, once a week. For more information, visit guadschool.org/volunteer!
