It is with great sadness that we inform you that Dr. Susan Leddick passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 22, 2021.
Susan's area of expertise was system design. She was always current and knowledgeable about research and practices and brought us her best. Leaders looked to her for guidance, wisdom, and scholarship that she gained from her years of experience as the president and founder of PKR, Inc.
She was a great friend of AESA, its members, and the AESA Foundation. She was a founding member of the AESA Foundation; a senior advisor to AESA; received the 2018 Peter C. Young award, and was the 2007 E. Robert Stephens award winner.
Always an innovator, Susan started the ESA Women's Leadership Network, did an enormous amount of systems design work for ESAs nationwide, and brought Duncan Simester's Business Strategy Framework to ESAs throughout the country.
She will be greatly missed. While we grieve her loss, we will treasure the experience and knowledge that we gained from her collegiality, leadership, and friendship. Our hearts go out to Susan's family at this difficult time. Please keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers.
