Dear friends,
As we find ourselves in this liminal space where one calendar year transitions to the next, we look back on a year filled with so much for us personally, locally, and globally. It has been another year of global pandemic, of climate catastrophes, and of the unrest born both of systems falling apart and of the swell of those seeking a new and better way forward.
At The BTS Center, it has been a year of growth, challenge, and visioning, as we have doubled our staff from three to six and brought a broad assortment of programming to life, including program partnerships with many wonderful local organizations. We continued to learn how best to offer our programs in the virtual space, and we held a beautiful and resonant Convocation online for the second year in a row. We were able to host occasional safe, outdoor gatherings, and it buoyed us to see some of your faces in person. And also, we have loved connecting with people from across the country and the world – connections facilitated by these new technological modalities.
As the new year opens, we will be at work planning even more creative programs for the coming year, including retreats, courses, book studies, public conversations, and more. We hope that you’ll be a part of these conversations and connections, beginning with our
Committed to Listen event on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January. You can find more information on exciting
upcoming programming on our website, as well as a growing
video library of past events.
We are deeply grateful to you for being a part of The BTS Center community, and we wish you a beautiful, joyful, and abundant 2022.
With best wishes,
