Happy Thanksgiving from the CDOIQ Team!
Resources Available Towards a Self-Taught CDO
By Steven Perry, Informatica Australia

In searching for the perfect CDO course, I realized that there isn't one that suits us all. The data landscape is ever changing but there are some classic texts old and new to refer to. The combination of data skills. business skills, IT and change management means that a diverse background that straddles IT and Business is required. So, understanding Data, Cloud or Platforms isn't enough if you can't get your business case approved or navigate cultural inertia around sharing data. The greatest challenge I hear from CDO's across the industry is Data Literacy. The most common roadblocks are organizational inertia and change management challenges and the most successful projects aren't led by technology but people who have learned the hard way through experience.

for the 2022 CDOIQ Symposium
Submission Deadline: December 31, 2021
For the past 15 years, the central mission and accomplishment of this Symposium have been bridging the gap between research and practice, particularly facilitating thought-provoking conversations and collaboration among data leaders globally. In July 2021, more than two thousand Chief Data Officers (CDOs), data leaders, and C-suite officers from around the world attended the Symposium. The majority of the attendees were CDOs, presidents, VPs, C-level officers, and directors who make critical decisions regarding how their organizations should collect, manage, and use data.

We want you in the CDOIQ 2022 Symposium! You only have one and a half month left to submit a proposal to speak. Act now before time runs out!
