Today, I am celebrating department initiatives that have advanced important collaborations with others at UCSF. Our recently launched PRISE Center is a collaboration between our department, the Department of Medicine and the Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center that will work with local public health departments to advance implementation science and health equity. Dr. Kim Rhoads will co-lead a new NIMHD-funded research hub focused on disparities in chronic diseases, along with Drs. Stuart Gansky (Dentistry) and Edwin Charlebois (Medicine). Our newly approved Masters and Certificate programs in Health Data Science, led by Dr. John Kornak, represent just one of many ways we are looking forward to collaborating with the just launched Computation Precision Health Initiative led by Dr. Ida Sim and Bakar Computational Health Sciences. Our department also has close collaborations with many other departments on campus along with investigator-initiated collaborative work.

Congratulations, and thank you to all of you whose work puts us on the front line to address the biggest health challenges of the day.
