We hope that you are all doing well and are enjoying the New Year. As you know, COVID cases are continuing to climb amongst students, staff, and the community.

The most recent numbers at our school show 26% of students and 20% of staff are out, either in quarantine or testing positive. As a result of this situation, and in consultation with our medical and instructional leaders, we are moving to virtual instruction for the week of January 18 through January 21, 2022.

As a result of the number of positive cases amongst staff and the total number of students and staff in quarantine at this time, we meet thresholds set by the state as necessary in order to curb the spread of the virus. Students will be able to receive instruction, contact teachers, and do work virtually during this week. We will be back in school on the January 24, 2022.

Each of our schools will be reaching out with more information on how to access virtual instruction for those families who do not have access to a device. Any devices that are borrowed will be needed in class on the following Monday so will need to be turned in immediately upon returning to school on January 24th.

Because this falls within approved thresholds and virtual instruction will take place, this week will not need to be made up at another point during the school year and the school's calendar will remain unchanged.

Extra-curricular activities such as athletics and band may continue at this time under the guidelines of full masks when not actively performing or playing, including during transportation, and following other guidelines as specified by their governing organizations.
Please contact your building principal with other questions that you may have and thank you for partnership during this time.
