NEWS FROM THE GW CANCER CENTER
What's New?
Through funding and support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the GW Cancer Center has released updated social media toolkits for Cervical Health Awareness Month! Use the Cervical Cancer Awareness Month Toolkit to implement evidence-based practices when communicating about cervical cancer with a focus on screening and prevention. The HPV Vaccine Facts for Health Care Providers Toolkit will help you develop a social media strategy to encourage providers to talk with parents and adolescents about the HPV vaccine.

For more information about social media platforms, key terms, and strategies to promote health observances using social media, see the Social Media for Health Observances Guide at bit.ly/GWCCSMTKs.

Commission on Cancer Road Map
Through funding and support from CDC, the GW Cancer Center has released "Implementing the Commission on Cancer Standard 8.1: Addressing Barriers to Care - A Road Map for Comprehensive Cancer Control Professionals and Cancer Program Administrators." This road map is an update of a previous resource for Implementing the Commission on Cancer Standard 3.1: Patient Navigation Process. This resource will guide CCC professionals and administrators in identifying and addressing barriers to accessing health and/or psychosocial cancer care for cancer patients.

The Sustaining Coalitions work group hosts a 30-minute check-in by Zoom every third Tuesday at 4 pm ET for CCC coalitions and programs to share their questions and solutions related to sustaining coalitions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
