SINGLE-LANE CLOSURES, OTHER TRAFFIC IMPACTS SCHEDULED ON LASKIN ROAD PROJECT
VIRGINIA BEACH - As part of the Laskin Road Bridge Replacement and Widening Project, motorists should expect alternating, single-lane closures to continue on Laskin Road at the First Colonial Road intersection, while crews perform utility work.

The work, expected to take approximately two weeks, will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Single-lane closures on southbound First Colonial Road are also scheduled during this time.

Access to properties at this intersection will be maintained at all times.

This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.

Nevan Road Left-Turn Permanent Closure

Starting as early as Thursday, Jan. 20, left turns from Nevan Road to westbound Laskin Road, as well as left turns from westbound Laskin Road to Nevan Road, will be permanently restricted.

With the permanent closure in place, motorists attempting to access Nevan Road from westbound Laskin Road should make a U-turn at First Colonial Road to re-access Nevan Road from eastbound Laskin Road.

Motorists are urged to use caution and to obey the reduced speed limit of 35 mph throughout the work zone.
