Last evening the LNC Board of Education met for its March meeting. As has been our practice all year, we are providing a recap of the meeting as it relates to the COVID-19 situation and any resulting changes to school operations. Since the board voted last month to transition our elementary school to plan A, there was no further decision or change related to this subject. This is because LNC HS and MS are both operating at the maximum plan currently allowed by the state for public high schools and middle schools, which is plan B. We would like to remind our LNC community that the Board of Education currently has a vacancy for the position of treasurer beginning in the 2021-2022 school year. Information about the position and how to apply is available here. Applications are due March 15, 2021.
We are encouraged by the continued improvement in the COVID metrics and the accelerated rollout of the vaccines. We appreciate our families, staff and students’ continued patience, partnership and perseverance as we enter into the fourth and final quarter of the year. Together, let’s finish strong!
