CELEBRANDO LA ABUNDANCIA DE DIÓS

August 15, 2023

Creation Season begins on September 1st

This is the tenth year that our diocese has celebrated Season of Creation (Sept. 1 - Oct. 4). The theme in 2023 is "Let Justice and Peace Flow" (the symbol is a mighty river).

This year, we invite your participation in new ways. As you make your way through the four pillars of this work, I pray that you will see something that stirs your imagination and lifts your heart.

Many ideas and resources are posted on the Creation care pages of our website.

The Creation Care Justice Network in the dioceses of Massachusetts and Western Massachusetts will be offering a pilot program for its newly created “An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice.” The program aims to provide individualized support for congregations to take meaningful steps in response to the climate emergency.

Twelve congregations will be actively sought to participate in the six-month pilot program (October 2023 through April 2024). Pilot congregations will receive individualized coaching, access to extensive resource materials, and networking with a cohort of other congregations across Massachusetts who are engaged in this work.

FOR INFORMATION: The Rev. Rachel Field, project coordinator.

The Creation Care Justice Network in Massachusetts is a group of Episcopalians from across our state who are committed to faith-based environmental justice and climate action. They draw upon the strong environmental messages from our bishops and The Episcopal Church as well as our diocesan mission to protect creation and seek ways to work collaboratively to address the climate crisis in a just and equitable way.

To attend the next meeting, email creationjusticeepisma@gmail.com to confirm and to get the Zoom link.
