Happy New Year!
A resounding THANK YOU for your incredibly generous holiday donations. Collectively you’ve raised several thousand dollars which we’re excited to direct straight into our classrooms, starting right now. We couldn’t do it without you, and your support means everything to us!

This spring we're hosting 18 classes in schools and youth organizations across the Bay Area, and we’re delighted to extend a warm welcome to some new instructors too, Julia Lai, Cat Elumba, Mitzi Baker and Angela Trinh.

In the first quarter of 2022 alone, we’ll be teaching the love of culinary magic to more than 250 students, thereby enabling them to take charge of their health outcomes, and evade preventable diseases brought about by poor diet and childhood obesity.
New Tax Status
We’re super excited to announce that we’ve been granted 501c3 status as a tax exempt charitable organization. We’re implementing some new financial tools to smooth the way, and will also be working to improve our website. In particular, we’ll be making it easier to access our all important recipes.
Words of Encouragement...

We Value Our Partnerships
We want to say a very special THANK YOU to Bay Area Community Resources, (BACR), the East Bay Asian Youth Center, (EBAYC), Peninsula Bridge and also the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula for sharing our vision and choosing to host our classes in a number of their after school programs. These organizations seek to foster equality and a safe, supportive environment for the children and people of our Bay Area communities, particularly underserved ones, and we're grateful for their support.

Try Something Yummy and Yellow in January
As part of our monthly 'Eat the Rainbow' campaign, we're recommending recipes containing yellow fruits, vegetables and legumes.Try our delicious butternut squash and herbed whole grains recipe, which you can open below.

Yellow vegetables are rich in beta-carotene, an antioxidant which breaks down vitamin A in the body, an essential nutrient for health. Most colorful fruits and vegetables are also rich in other nutrients, including potassiumironcopper, vitamin C, vitamin A, and B complex vitamins, as well as dietary fiber.

We want to see what you've got cooking, so send photos of the healthy yellow food you've made, from our recipe or one of your own to: info@kidscookingforlife.org. You can also engage with our 'Eat the Rainbow' campaign on our Instagram and Facebook pages too.
