Note from Head of School

Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,

Congratulations to the Rising Tide Class of 2023! It was great to come together with all of our students, staff members, and the families and guests of our seniors on Friday afternoon. We look forward to the variety of ways in which this group of amazing individuals will positively impact our communities and our world as they venture beyond our building.

In these final two weeks, we hope to see many of you at our Upper School Civics Night this Thursday evening, and the End-of-Eighth Grade Celebration next Thursday evening.

Have a wonderful week.

Sincerely,

Michael O'Keefe
Head of School

Join Us for Civics Night

The Rising Tide community is invited to attend Civics Night, which will take place from 6:00-7:30 pm on Thursday, June 8. Civics Night is an annual event hosted by Rising Tide’s grade eleven students that highlights the culmination of their months-long research projects in their civics and economics classes about local civic issues. The major topics for this year include issues in pollution, the coastal environment, mental health, and sustainable food sources.

Important Message from the Nurse's Office

A parent/guardian must pick up any extra medication in the Nurse's Office by 12:00 pm on June 16th. Any medication that is not picked up will be disposed of. EpiPens and inhalers can be brought home by the student if the parent/guardian sends in a note or emails Lisa Huges, the school nurse, at LHughes@Risingtide.org requesting this.

Parent Group Update

It’s Rising Tide Custodian Appreciation Week! We are so lucky to have amazing custodians at Rising Tide – Lou Clark does a wonderful job during the school day and is well known to all students as a rock star. Alyson and DJ are less well-known to the community, as they work in the evening hours to prepare for the next school day, but no less awesome. Newly hired part-time custodian, Paul, has recently joined Lou during the school day. Encourage your child to say “THANKS!” to one of the Rising Tide custodians this week for all they do to keep our school clean, safe, and functional.

May Parent Group Meeting Notes. The notes from our last meeting of the year are posted here. We look forward to seeing many parents at our first meeting of the year in early September, so we can hit the ground running for the 2023-2024 school year.

Message from the Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club in the Plymouth Industrial Park will be closed for summer camp preparation on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16.
