Volunteers complete UUC labyrinth
With an idea sparked by the tealight labyrinth created on campus for the Winter Solstice, a load of donated bricks and the diligent work of some intrepid volunteers, UUC now has a labyrinth located in the northwest corner of the parking area. Why a labyrinth? It is an ancient symbol of wholeness. The imagery of the circle and spiral combine into a meandering but purposeful journey on a path to one's own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools. If you are interested in becoming a "friend of the labyrinth", please contact Chris Mueller
Available to all at anytime!

"The more I’ve been able to learn about gay rights and equal pay and gender equity and racial inequality, the more that it all intersects. You can’t really pick it apart. It’s all intertwined."

UUC Steps Up to Participate
in Pride in St. Pete
We are so excited to announce UUC , UU St. Pete, UU Tarpon and the UU St. Pete fellowship are joining forces for the biggest contingent of UU’s ever in Pride this year. We are again participating in two big ways. First On Saturday June 10th we will have a booth at LGBTQ+ Youth and Family Day. This event will take place in Staub Park in Downtown St. Pete from 10 AM to 2. Volunteers are still needed. Please contact Megan Foley. Then on June 24th we will be marching in the Pride Parade. Can’t march? No problem because we will have a small “float” for people to sit on. Please let Linda Stoller know if you want to ride. This is going to be so much Fun! More information is coming. This year when other communities are canceling Pride events it is important to stand up and proudly say UU’s support our LGBTQ community and support Pride events.

Equality Florida
June Community Outreach Organization
As Florida’s only statewide LGBTQ civil rights organization, Equality Florida has fought to create real and lasting change for LGBTQ Floridians. Throughout their 25-year history, they’ve be fighting anti-LGBTQ legislation introduced in Tallahassee. This year was no exception. They were the voice opposing the anti-LGBTQ bills that were signed into law this session. Equality Florida called it the “Slate of Hate” and vowed to continue to work for freedom for LGBTQ Floridians. In addition, they run educational programs that work with employers, schools and health care providers to promote LGBTQ equality and services. For more information about this dynamic organization go to www.eqfl.org
