Revised International Travel Guideline
Due to the new federal regulations requiring all international travelers to have a negative Covid-19 test before returning to the United States, GH is no longer requiring students quarantine upon return from international travel.
Updated Quarantine Guidance
Great Hearts has come out with an amendment to the covid-19 guideline ‘close contact with someone who tested positive for covid-19 when isolation from the individual is possible’. The amended guideline states the exposed individual is quarantined off campus for 7 days after last day of contact as long as they don’t have symptoms and a PCR test is negative that was taken within 48 hours of day 7 of being in quarantine. The individual may return to campus on day 8.
When Should I Get Tested?
If you have COVID-like symptoms, you should get tested right away. If you are not experiencing any symptoms, testing is recommended any time after day 5 through day 14 after exposure. You can develop symptoms up to 14 days after close contact with an infectious person. Even if you test negative one week after exposure, you can still develop the disease and infect others, with or without symptoms. COVID-19 Testing Sites
