Mission:
United by faith and service,
St. Anthony of Padua School community forms knowledgeable students who are moral and courageous Catholic leaders.
From Mrs. Pudelko:

  • We are excited to move forward with the option for Summer Childcare beginning this summer! In order to properly prepare for staffing, we will be sending out a survey next week to gauge how many families will be signing up. I encourage you to begin thinking about your summer schedules in order to complete this survey as accurately as possible.
  • Please complete your registration packet for 21-22 as soon as possible. Our goal is to have financial aid award letters out the first week of March.
  • Our Early Childhood Night is scheduled for March 1st. This is an opportunity for families to take a tour and meet with the preschool, DK and Kindergarten staff. If you have a child who will be entering one of those grades and you'd like to tour, please call or email the school office. We will also be offering our referral form again this year. If you have friends or family who may be interested, please pass along the information. I would love to share more about our programming. The Diocese of Grand Rapids announced that they will also be offering Welcome Scholarships for new families with children in preschool and kindergarten. Check out the details here.
  • As a reminder, Parent Teacher Conferences are tonight, February 11, and Friday, February 12. Friday is a virtual day of learning for students.
  • Celebrate Langley! Langley's end of treatment for leukemia, is 2/15/21!!!! The Schillim family is very grateful for the love and support they have received from the St. Anthony community and they want to celebrate this huge milestone with us....their school/parish family!! There will be a drive-by celebration (in the church parking lot) on Monday, 2/15, at 5:55 pm. This will last approximately a half hour. If you are able, please help 'Celebrate Langley' and her family!!!

COVID 19 INFORMATION

  • HEALTH DEPARTMENT TOOLKIT: The Health Department continues to update the School Toolkit. All parents are encouraged to review these updates here.

Get Moving!

The recommended amount of physical activity for children is at least 60 minutes per day. Building Healthy Communities gets kids moving in four ways: (1) through a quality, physical education curriculum, including new equipment, (2) encouraging students to be active during recess, (3) offering short physical activity breaks in classrooms, and (4) having a before– or after-school Healthy Kids Club which offers non-competitive physical activity in a safe and supervised setting. Encourage your child to be physically active at home and do LESS sitting around. Encourage them to turn the TV or computer off to move around more in ways they enjoy. When you do watch TV, think of fun movements to do during the commercials. Invite your kids to go with you when you walk the dog or shovel snow. Maybe you can walk to school together instead of driving. You will be surprised how easy it is to reach that 60-minute goal if you build physically activity into your day at several different times. However you choose to do it, just get moving!
