New Knitters - consider these classes...
If you are pretty new to knitting but know the basics, - consider the Cabled Headband class (learn how to make a cable - just 2 class sessions) or the First Cabled Hat class (learn how to knit in the round, cable and decrease). This is a 4 session class at 1 hour per session. Both will be chock full of info from Keri that will take you through your knitting journey!

Holly in her Rainier
Holly dropped by wearing her gorgeous Rainier by Kate Gagnon Osborn in Kelbourne's Scout. What a well-executed colorwork sweater with perfect fit. Super job, Holly!
Judy's Summer Flies Again....
Judy made this elegant Summer Flies Again Shawl by Donna Griffin using Blue Heron's Rayon Metallic. Love that wonderful lace. Well done, Judy!
Katy's Beloved Berlin
Katy finished her Beloved Berlin, a pattern by Isabell Kraemer, from Keri's class this fall. She used these gorgeous colors in Spun Right Round Classic Sock and MadelineTosh Sock. If you look carefully, you can see the lovely complementary color peeking through the lace. Excellent work, Katy!
Ellen's Weaving with Marianated
Ellen used Marianated's HT Scrumptious to weave her very first scarf using a 4 shaft loom. The resulting fabric is luminous. We can't wait to see her next project...a wrap. Word has it that she'll be using MadTosh's Sock. Stay tuned... Until then, beautiful work, Ellen!
Monica's little crocheted hat
Monica crocheted this cute and quick Jenna Beanie. The pattern, free on crochetdreamz.com, takes about an hour to make and runs from toddler to adult sizes. Monica has awesome color sense. Don't you love the Lang Neon with the poppy verdigris pom? We absolutely do!
This will be an awesome class...
In a week, here's Carolyn progress on A Good Vintage Crochet Cardi using Woolstok Light. Wowsers! There is space left in this class which begins in March. Join us!
Little Ivy - wrapped in a stashbuster!
Caren knit her beautiful granddaughter, Ivy a very cute blanket with some not-so-scrappy scrap yarn left over from other projects. The pattern is Flower Child Baby Blanket and looks fun with all the changes. Beautiful, Caren!
A little advice: take up knitting; be specific; and keep your kitten off the carpet...
Remembrance Of Christmas Past
They let the children out of school too early.
I left the Christmas shopping till too late.
Each day we had a holiday excursion,
Which gave us the entire week to wait in line for
Movies by Disney,
Gift-wrapping by Lord & Taylor,
And everyone's restrooms.

On Christmas Eve we started to assemble
The easy-to-assemble telescope
And fire truck with forty-seven pieces.
By midnight it was plain there was no hope without
An astronomer,
A mechanical engineer,
And two psychiatrists.

We rose at dawn to three boys singing Rudolph.
We listened numbly to their shouts of glee.
The kitten threw up tinsel on the carpet.
The fire truck collided with the tree, requiring

One rug shampoo,
Several Band-aids,
And Scotch before breakfast.

I bought my husband shirts - wrong size, wrong colors,
And ties he said he couldn't be caught dead in.
I'd hinted Saint Laurent or something furry.
He bought me flannel gowns to go to bed in, also
A Teflon frying pan,
A plaid valise,
And The Weight Watchers Cook Book.

The turkey was still frozen at eleven.
At noon my eldest boy spilled Elmer's glue.
At five I had a swell Excedrin headache,
The kind that lasts till January two...but
Merry Christmas
And Happy New Year,
I think.
