Little Shepherd Children's Center Needs Your Help
A message from Kim Doege, Director of Little Shepherd Children’s Center
As most of you know, I am retiring at the end of May this year. What many of you don’t know, is my story of becoming the director of LSCC. In the fall of 2013, I made the decision to retire after 36 years from my career in public schools. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do after I retired in June of 2014. I just knew I was ready for something different. Being the director of a Child Care Center and Preschool never crossed my mind. Joining the staff at Shepherd of Life and becoming the director at Little Shepherd Children’s Center never crossed my mind. God does, however, work in mysterious ways! I was asked to consider becoming the director because Cathy Racette, the first director of LSCC, was planning to retire. I can honestly tell you that it has been an awesome second career! I like to look at it as another chapter in my journey as an educator. I am sharing my story in the hopes that there is someone in our congregation or someone you know who is ready for a change or another chapter in their journey as an educator. If so, please have them contact Christy Moore who is a member of our search committee. Her contact information is christym8302@yahoo.com
