NEW FASHION TRENDS FOR FALL

Along with crimson leaves and pumpkin spice coffee, Autumn offers an opportunity for a fresh fashion start. It’s easy to get excited about shopping for the new season, but when it comes to investing in style to update your wardrobe, experts suggest that you think about what trends will suit you and work with your existing wardrobe rather than plunging in head-first.

If you really love a trend but don’t think it’ll work for you, don’t be afraid to experiment by tweaking the hem or sleeve length, or drawing in the waist with a well-placed belt. But, most importantly, have fun! Fashion is supposed to be joyous!

Here at My Sister’s Closet, we’ve been working very hard to get our awesome cooler-weather line of women’s clothing and accessories out onto our racks. We’ve also done some research, and it seems that the fashion gurus have compiled a shopping list to make it easier for you to update your wardrobe for the fall season:

Joggers. Once reserved for working out or sofa surfing, the sporty theme is now part of the key fall 2022 fashion trends. Designers are showing shell jackets, joggers, and sporty singlet vests, plus bowling bag shaped top handle leather bags. This season is all about the grown-up track jacket. Inspired by seventies sports stars, look for colored piping details, logos and knitted fabrics.

Side stripes. Whether they appear down the leg of a trouser, the sleeve of a jacket or the neckline of a dress, striped detailing is a great way to give a subtle nod to the Sports Luxe trend.

Luxe track pants. When it comes to this season’s track pant update, experts recommend swapping favorite cotton blends for silk or twill updates. Wear with your best designer heels to take the look from trackside to trend.

Anything caramel. For the cooler months ahead it’s time to add in some caramel-inspired hues. The simplest way to inject this trend into your closet is with a classic camel coat. In high-fashion parlance, camel shades are a byword for chic. Throw a classic camel coat over any outfit, and you’ll immediately look put-together. To elevate this look, take a style tip from model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: “Team it with similar hues such as beige, cream and off-white for a tonal look that will make your outfit look more expensive. Finish your outfit with minimalist accessories in neutrals for a runway-worthy look.”
