Heights Libraries Return to Curbside Services
Heights Libraries have decided to return to curbside pick-up services at all branches until further notice beginning Tuesday, December 21. Online services are still available 24/7 via heightslibrary.org.
Holiday Lights Recycling
Beginning the week of December 27 through January 21, a drop-off bin will be available in front of the Cleveland Heights Service Garage located at 14200 Superior Road to deposit used strings of holiday lights for recycling. Also, from December 26 through January 31, thanks to the CH Green Team, residents can drop off broken, non-working, or used strings of lights and extension cords at any of the four Heights Libraries branches. A box to deposit holiday lights for recycling will be clearly labeled in all locations. Items recycled at the Library will benefit the Cleveland Zoo's “Lights for Lions” conservation initiative.
Christmas Tree Recycling
The City's Christmas tree collection and recycling program offers residents an easy and environmentally sensitive way to dispose of their live trees. To prepare the tree for collection and for the safety of our employees, all decorations, tinsel, wire, nails, stands, and bags must be removed from the tree. Trees in plastic bags or flocked trees cannot be recycled. Live tree collection will begin on December 27 and continue through the end of January.
