FFCO's new "Ask a Farmer" kiosk at the Canadian National Exhibition

Farm & Food Care Ontario has been debuting its brand new "Ask a Farmer" video kiosk in the 'Farm' building at the CNE this year. FFCO along with many other commodities exhibiting in this education building, are excited to be back with new, refreshed displays for the return to in-person events.

The kiosk is a video recording booth- like "Speakers' Corner"- that allows visitors to record themselves asking a Canadian farmer a question. Questions will be answered via FFCO's social media following the CNE. The kiosk was funded, in part, through the AgriCompetitiveness program under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal, provincial, territorial initiative. It will also be used at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

FFCO is also taking the opportunity to distribute The Real Dirt on Farming at the CNE.

Meet a member: Mike and Sally Van Straaten

"We became members of FFCO knowing that this organization was one that aligned with all of our commitments to food quality/safety, farming and sustainable agriculture as farmers ourselves.

By supporting an organization that builds connection and communication between the farmer and the consumer, we can build awareness and understanding that will help sustain the future of this industry.

Recognizing that Farm & Food Care is an agricultural industry influencer, becoming a member was an easy decision for us."
