Kissimmee Gateway Airport Welcomes New Airport Operations Coordinator
Troy Heidel is our newest full-time Airport Operations Coordinator at the Kissimmee Gateway Airport. Troy is a U.S. Army Veteran and was assigned as a vehicle mechanic during his 8-year enlistment. His military experience, supplemented with his two years of experience at the Winter Haven Airport as an Airport Technician Supervisor, and private pilot experience, has provided him with a well-rounded amount of knowledge for taking on the rewarding challenges and career advancement opportunities at ISM. We are glad to have his positive attitude and eagerness to learn, as our newest member of Team ISM!

Intern Spotlight:
Worakarn Prasoprat
Worakarn Prasoprat is our current intern assigned as an Airport Operations Coordinator on a 15-week internship. Beyond his daily responsibilities of preserving a safe and secure airfield environment, he has been tasked with updating several documents and training to include updating the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, airport website, and airport street signage.

Upon the completion of his internship, he will be in his final weeks of completing a Master’s Degree in Airport Development and Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. Worakarn is interested in pursuing an airport planning and development opportunity, and his work experience at the #Kissimmee Airport will provide him some necessary skills and a better understanding of the aspects that come along with managing an airport. Welcome, Worakarn! We’re are so thrilled to welcome you to the Kissimmee Airport family!
