He's got the most soulful eyes... Makes you just want to wrap your arms around him and give him the biggest bear hug ever!
Orion came to us recently as he has not been able to bear weight on his front left leg. π Luckily he doesn't appear to have suffered any fractures and is not in pain, but this poor fella has been dragging around his front limb for quite sometime. Orion has been diagnosed a condition called brachial plexus (which is essentially nerve damage in his front leg causing partial paralysis). We believe he has likely had this condition since birth since there are no indications of trauma on x-rays, however, there is no way to know for sure.
Our big teddy bear here has learned to live without the use of one of his front legs, but toting it around everywhere must be exhausting. We are able to relieve Orion of the extra weight he has been carrying by amputating his leg, giving him the best life he can possibly have, without the heavy burden of his past. π
It's animals like Orion that each and every ticket sale SAVES!
