Oyster Fest is almost upon us, and thankfully it's returning to the Arcata Plaza for 2023! The festival will take place on June 10th from 10a-5p. Not only will there be delicious local Oysters of all varieties, but there will also be over 30 different food vendors, ensuring the even the pickiest eaters will find satisfaction. The festival has partnered with Mad River Brewing to bring you some of the best local beer Humboldt has to offer. In addition to the fan favorites like Steelhead, Mad River brewed up a special beer for Oyster Fest called SHUCK IT! This light beer is sweet and packed full of flavor and will go great with your favorite raw or grilled oysters!
There will be two stages on Saturday, one stage will keep the vibes high with live music all day. The second stage will be full of community events including the Oyster Calling Contest and The Shuck and Swallow Contest! There is so much to be excited about this year for Oyster Fest and we cannot wait to be with our community on the Plaza. There are currently several volunteer opportunities available.
