Update from President Blue
|
|
Well, we made it through the 2020 detoured NACE Conference that was a huge success in 2023. What a great conference and the weather cooperated as well. The Alabama folks deserve a huge round of applause for all their efforts to make NACE 2023 a memorable event.
The technical programs were very informative, the vendor show was a rousing success and the evening tailgate proved to be the perfect ending to a tremendously successful day. There was singing and dancing to the tunes cranked out by the band. The food was hot, and the beverages were cold. Although somehow, they didn’t get my alma mater fight song in the light show. Go ILLINI!
At the banquet on Wednesday, all the new officers were sworn in by Duane Blanck, 1998 NACE President, after he delighted the crowd with some good humor. Mr. Champion was officially inducted into the NFL as the Commissioner of Champions Crusaders. The Engineers of the Year, Project Manager of the Year and The Dave P. Brand Safety Award were awarded.

THANK YOU CONFERENCE SPONSORS!

Thank you to all the delegates, guests, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and industry friends that made NACE 2023 in Orange Beach a record-setting event! With over 400 delegates, a packed exhibit hall, and more than 20 pieces of equipment, a new precedent has been set for NACE shows moving forward. We are especially grateful for the hard work that our friends in Alabama (ACEA) did to make sure we could pull off such a unique and special conference.
Don’t forget that you have until August 31st to login to the conference website and download the PDH form.
Conference presentations will be available by the end of the month- we are still collecting presentations and will provide them to you via the regular NACE website once they are available.
