Welcome to C&E's Robotics No-Brainer newsletter, where each week we present a robotics application that has revolutionized industry and could do the same for your business. Why wouldn't you use it?

It's a No-Brainer!
Robotic Packaging Automaton
Packaging has been an important part of business operations for centuries. The $900 billion industry has emerged as an integral process of every business, from multi-million dollar corporations to small-town mom and pop shops. Protecting products during transit isn't an inexpensive endeavor, either especially when your systems require the use of costly materials. On average, the packaging for a product costs nine percent of its total. That's roughly $1 per $11 spent!

Such a critical process deserves consideration of implementing robotic packaging automation. Robots have proven to be an effective solution in packaging automation providing flexibility, accuracy and consistency. But with hundreds of different packaging materials varying in size, weight and density, selecting an appropriate gripper is no simple task.
OnRobot specializes in robotic end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and just released their NEW VGP20 Gripper designed for packaging and palletizing processes. Capable of handling less expensive packaging materials like thinner, more porous cardboard and lightweight shipping bags means considerable savings on both automation and shipping costs.
Thank you for joining us for this week's edition of the Robotics No-Brainer. We'll be back next week at the same time for another exciting look at a revolutionary application from the world of cobots and AMRs.
OTHER ROBOTICS HAPPENINGS
