The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded more than $8.5 million to Western Washington Tribes for improvements to their criminal justice systems and youth development programs.
“As recipients of this grant, we will be coordinating with Grays Harbor College to open doors and remove barriers for students seeking attainment of basic education.”
Training in the construction trades is being offered in Grays Harbor and participants will obtain free certifications in forklift, OSHA-10 and flagging.
As part of recent funding by the Department of Justice, a program at the Grays Harbor County Jail is receiving funds to be used to expand their jail-based system of care and re-entry continuum.
While the county has mimicked national trends of higher home values and record low inventory, much of the new construction growth can be attributed to a boom in Ocean Shores in particular.
A new state law restricts the use of these items and prohibits packaged bundles of single-use items in order to reduce waste and litter – although customers can still request individual items if needed.
