On July 25, 2023, Love Columbia was awarded a $1 million grant from Boone County Commission American Rescue Plan Acts funds (ARPA) for our Extra Mile Homes transitional housing project.

This grant will contribute more than half the funds needed to complete the project. The six-plex apartment building will be located at the northwest corner of Ash and College with the goal of housing families experiencing homelessness.

“Transitional housing really is the gold standard for transitioning families from homelessness to stability,” Love Columbia’s Executive Director and Co-Founder, Jane Williams said.

Thank you to the Boone County Commission, we are so grateful for this grant!
