Happy Holidays from The Hub!

We wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and a healthy, peaceful start to 2022! We will be back with our next issue of our Weekly Update in January.

Below you will find prevention, treatment and recovery resources that may be helpful through the holidays.

Prevention During the Holidays
The holiday season is filled with gatherings and celebrations. If you are planning to consume alcohol or substances, don't get behind the wheel. Remember, if you feel different, you drive different!

1. Make a plan to get home safe.
Did you know The Connecticut Department of Transportation has partnered with Uber to offer residents a discount code to reduce impaired driving during the holidays. Use discount code “SAVETHENIGHTCT,” to get for $10 off a ride until January 14, 2022. The code can be entered any time between 5 p.m. and 4 a.m. until then. Check with your town also. Some may offer low-cost or free rides for New Year's Eve.

2. Designated drivers need to commit to sobriety.
If you volunteer to be the designated driver, make sure you commit to being 100% sober the entire night.

3. Report impaired drivers.
If you see an impaired driver on the road, call 911 and report it immediately. It could save a life.

4. Take the keys if necessary.
If you see a friend who is impaired attempt to drive, take their keys away and help them get home safely.
