Scheduling

Current 8th grade students will start the scheduling process for high school later this month.

• Tuesday, January 18 - Students on the Purple Team will receive materials from high school counselors.
• Wednesday January 19 - Students on the Gold Team will receive materials from high school counselors.
• Wednesday, January 19 @ 7:00 PM - Parent meeting in the high school PAC
• Wednesday, January 26 - Course selection sheets are due to 8th grade teachers.
• Monday, January 31 - Friday, February 4 - Students will enter course selections electronically.
• Friday, April 1 - Last day to make a schedule change.

Students in grades 5 through 7 will be learning about the scheduling process from our school counselors. After a scheduling overview is presented by our school counselors, they will meet with each student individually throughout the coming months to talk about academics, career exploration, and social/emotional development. Please be on the lookout for more information regarding the scheduling process.

Important Notes:

Washington D.C. Extended Field Trip

Students registered for the 8th grade field trip to Washington D.C. should start thinking about roommates. Remember, there will be 4 students assigned to each room. A Google Form will be emailed to the students later this month, so room assignments can be completed . Note, the second payment is due Thursday, January 20.

Keith Hawkins

NRMS is excited to welcome back Keith Hawkins, an international speaker who will talk about bringing our students together through his program, "The Power of One" on Wednesday, January 26. Keith believes that life's challenges are an opportunity to step up and make a difference. Even through struggle, Keith believes that you can do and become whatever you want in our great nation as long as you're willing to step up to the challenges along the way.
