MVBC Family Happenings
What is forgiveness? Do you have to feel like forgiving in order to forgive, or is it a choice of the will? Forgiveness is one of the most misunderstood commands the Lord has for us as Christians. Yet, as difficult as it is to understand let alone do, it is absolutely imperative that we forgive others. We are to forgive as we have been forgiven. It not only plays a huge part in our own walk with the Lord, but it can make all the difference in the lives of others. This Sunday, we will take another look at this interesting concept of forgiveness. We'll see what happens when we obey and do it and what are the consequences when we choose not to forgive.
Join us for one of our two Sunday morning in-person services at 8:45 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. or watch online at 10:30 a.m. here. Our Children's Church is at 10:30 a.m. On Wednesdays, join us for our in-person Wednesday Bible Study at 6:45 p.m. in the Chapel. Seating is limited for each of these in-person services, so be sure to sign up at www.mvbc.org/sign-up! The 10:30 a.m. Sunday service, Children's Ministries videos, Adult Bible Study on Wednesdays, and Teen Life, will still be available online for those worshiping from home as well. **UPDATE** We would LOVE to be able to offer a group Children's Sunday School in the Chapel during first service. If you are interested in serving, please contact Andrew Higgins.
SMCA would like to bless those who are working in the healthcare field throughout our communities. Our secondary students will create art which will be digitized into cards of thanks and encouragement. These cards will then be sent to the healthcare workers we would like to bless through our SMCA Service Project. This is where they need your help. Please send names and workplaces of those whom you would like to bless to Alanna Beaulieu by clicking on her name. This opportunity will be available for a couple of weeks, so please send these to her as soon as possible.
Our spring Sunday School classes begin March 7, at 8:45 a.m. To sign up online, click here. Andrew Higgins will be leading a Sunday School class titled, We've Got Mail -- Reading the Epistles Along With the Early Church in the Fellowship Hall. When first received, these letters were read along in a single service. What was it like to see the entire book at once? Join us as we follow along with the earliest audience in a series of high-level looks at the Pauline epistles. Please sign up to join in person or via Zoom here.
The Ladies' Sunday School class will be studying the attributes of God through Psalm 119. We will be using the methods learned in past studies written by Mardi Collier and Jen Wilkin as we focus on discovering a deeper understanding of God.  We would love for you to join us even if you have never attended a Bible study.  The class will be facilitated by Kerry Parsons. Sign up to join via Zoom here
Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-lesson class which will teach you how to pay off debt, save money, and invest for your future. You’ll also connect with others, just like you who can hold you accountable, encourage you, and celebrate your progress! Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. on Zoom and usually last about 45 to 60 minutes. We’ll watch the videos on our own and meet together via Zoom for discussion and activities. Click here to sign up. Please purchase course materials at this link.
We have organized our deacon flock assignments for 2021. The deacons should be reaching out to their flocks in the coming weeks. If you do not hear from your deacon, please feel free to contact the Church Office. We may need to update your contact information.
Our desire is to assist one of our supported missionary families, the Bixbys in Sarselles, France, with their current financial need to purchase the space they've been renting for their ministry. The Bixbys have been able to raise a significant amount of funds; however, we would like to be a blessing to them. We are looking to raise $18,000. To donate to the Bixby's Building Fund online, click here. As of Wednesday afternoon, we have raised $26,972, with more exciting news to come. Please mark any cash/check donations, "Bixby's Building Fund." For a review of the presentation to the church, please click here.
You can still worship through giving from home. You may either mail checks to P.O. Box 606, Nashua, NH, 03061 or donate online here. To view giving information for last week, click here.
