COLORADO HEALTH INSTITUTE (CHI) HEALTH AGENDA
CHI has released their 2022 agenda for addressing health care in Colorado. They have included three focuses:

COVID
CDPHE QUICK COVID VACCINE PROVIDER GUIDE

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released a quick reference guide for healthcare professionals including information on the proper storage, preparation, and administration of the currently authorized COVID-19 vaccine products in the United States.
STATEWIDE COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment provides extensive resources and up to date information regarding the COVID vaccine.

NEW MEMBER REDETERMINATION PROCESS

In March 2022, a new redetermination process for all Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) members was implemented.  For more information on how this impacts providers and why it is important, see the Renewal Revamp presentation, workbook and FAQ on HCPF's Eligibility Partner Trainings webpage or view the Renewal Guidance for Medical Assistance Memo. Refer individuals to this link for information on finding a provider within your region.
ALCOHOL AWARENESS MONTH

April is alcohol awareness month. Pamphlets and resources from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism are available for providers to utilize and distribute. These pamphlets include resources and facts about harmful interactions: mixing alcohol with medicines, rethink drinking: alcohol and your health, alcohol and your pregnancy, and much more.
HEALTH COLORADO: WHERE DO I START? WEBINAR

Beacon and Health Colorado will assist with questions new members have regarding Medicaid benefits.
YOUR CHOICE, YOUR VOICE: LIFE CARE PLANNING ADVANCE DIRECTIVES VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

Beacon and Health Colorado invites anyone to participate in this "working" workshop where forms are available for members to state their wishes if they were unable to communicate them.

END OF PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY WEBINAR

The following webinar related to the end of the PHE has been scheduled. Please share with your networks as appropriate and register to attend. This webinar is geared towards Community Partners. The content includes current plans for how eligibility renewals will be phased over the 14 month period after the end of the public health emergency and an overview of communication resources in development for partners as we prepare for renewals or transitions in coverage for members.
MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING RELATED TO PEDIATRIC COVID-19 VACCINATION WEBINAR

The Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center will be hosting a webinar on how to use motivational interviewing techniques to address pediatric vaccine uptake. This is in response to the "upcoming" covid-19 vaccine for kids under the age of 6 but will also include information about pediatric vaccines in general
HEALTH EQUITY PUBLIC PLANNING MEETINGS

The purpose of the health equity public meetings is to provide space for providers, members, and community stakeholders to learn about HCPF's Health Equity Plan, and to provide input and feedback. Their goal is to establish the current state of health equity, and strategically look at innovative ways to improve health outcomes and decrease health disparities for our members in Colorado. HEALTH COLORADO PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PIAC)

Health Colorado would like to encourage you to join our Program Improvement Advisory Committee (PIAC).This group is for members, family members, providers, county employees, and other stakeholders. The next meeting held will be  Monday, April 18th from 11:00am-12:30pm
