Career and Technical Education

The Perkins V grant offers RVCC the opportunity to deliver career awareness presentations to Hunterdon and Somerset County high schools, middle schools, and local agencies. Supported by the College community and industry experts, these events are designed to increase awareness about Career and Technical Education (CTE), which combines academic and technical skills with the knowledge and training needed to succeed in today’s labor market.

RVCC currently has 67 CTE programs that are approved under the Perkins Grant.

For additional information about CTE career awareness events at RVCC, contact Scott Miller at [email protected].
National Awards

RVCC is a community college, but it has been recognized nationally—and even internationally—with several prestigious awards and honors.
Field Trips, Private Shows

The RVCC Planetarium welcomes visitors for in-person field trips and private shows for groups of 1-100 people. Planetarium shows run 45-60 minutes. Groups also may participate in a scavenger hunt (about 10-20 minutes), which can be tailored to any age group and may be done before or after a show. The Planetarium also offers a small exhibit area and a gift shop that sells books, gift items, and Astronaut food.

Presentations cost $200 for up to 20 people; the cost for additional guests is $10 per person. The Planetarium also offers virtual field trips at a cost of $100 per group.
