Reelfoot Rural Ministries

Reelfoot Rural Ministries is a mission program of the Memphis Conference of The United Methodist Church. It serves low-income families in rural Northwest Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky in a manor that enhances self-esteem and encourages self-support.

Reelfoot Rural Ministries provides a variety of services:

YOUNG-AT-HEART OUTING
 Sultana Disaster Museum and Shake Shack
Thursday, January 20th – Depart from CUMC at 11 am
The greatest maritime disaster in American history. The Sultana Disaster Museum tells the story of the explosion and sinking of the steamboat Sultana 10 miles north of Memphis on April 27, 1865, where over 1,800 of the Sultana's 2,300 passengers were killed. Most of the passengers were paroled Union soldiers just released from Andersonville and Cahaba Confederate prison camps. To register contact Heather Crone at hcrone@covenantumc.org or call the church office (901) 754-8587 or you may sign up by using the Sign-Up Genius Link below.
