Week of
Thanksgiving 2021
In case you're wondering what day it is--
according to nationaldaycalendar.com it might be:
What are you interested in? Cats? Horses?
Something else? Let CLI know!
Nichelle has spent the past couple weeks working on technology skills at
Sheri's Coffee house and the Norwalk Library
Just because it's winter doesn't mean that you can't stay in shape. Norwalk's Park & Rec's Ernsthausen Center is pretty awesome!
And just one final pic from
Jeremy's farewell party
the week before last.
John's usual--

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am grateful for the opportunity that I've been given to be part of CLI and to work with everyone else on the CLI team. I'm privy to a lot of behind the scenes stuff obviously-- but seeing my coworkers' dedication to our mission and our clientele is inspiring. Likewise, it's super rewarding to have the clients and the families that have chosen us. I am so lucky that serendipity brought me here.

That being said, even though I (and everyone else at CLI) loves what we do as part of CLI-- it is 100% GO GO GO! It can be hard to shut it down and just be mindful about our non-work lives. I hope that everyone is able to spend some quality time with loved ones this week. I know that I'm looking forward to spending all of this Thursday with my family with the opportunity to enjoy too much good food, play games, and just sit together. Both of my kids are home for the holiday, which is a treat.

Holly & I will be holding court at 38 West Seminary from 1 pm - 6:30 pm on the 27th for Small Business Saturday. CLI is hosting vendors inside and we'll be chatting it up and dishing out boozy hot chocolate to keep people in the proper holiday spirits as we get ready for the Light Up Norwalk event later on Saturday evening.

CLI is running normal programs this week on Monday through Wednesday, but we are closed on Thursday and Friday.

Have a great week and a great holiday!

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. If you get time off, enjoy it. My wife recently started a new tradition with our family. After we say grace, we pause and go around the table and everyone says what they are grateful for. It gives each of us a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for. It is really fun when we get to the young people at the dinner. We never know for sure what they will say.

Now that winter seems to be settling in, we have been getting multiple calls for purges of material. As a reminder, a purge is a shred job that is more than 500 lbs. Last week, we had 4. We are in the process of completing a 1,000 box purge today. I also have 6 additional pending purges. That is when a customers sets a tentative date but is not quite ready for us to come and get the material.

Production last week was good. We shredded 10,000 pounds of paper and recycled another 3,000 pounds of cardboard and we also completed 23,000 units.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving!!

Did you know that CLI contracts with other companies and agencies for professional Occupational Therapy services and more?

We're always looking for ways to collaborate with others!
There might not be a new CLI video this week, but you can check out
all of CLI's content by visiting CLI's YouTube channel:

Another Olmstead Decision video-- many of these videos specifically address segregated living situations (aka "institutions"). However, the Decision has bearing on Ohio's Adult Day Services too. The crux of the lawsuit is that it is illegal to take public, tax-payer money and use it to segregate people based on a disability.
