Dear Parents,
As I am writing the rain has begun, and with it then end of the glorious weather we have been enjoying. Please start checking the temperature and conditions as you advise your child on how to dress each day. Out of respect for your role as parents and your knowledge of your child's needs, we no longer dictate uniform pieces by season. If your child is often cold, and needs a sweater to be comfortable, please make sure they arrive with that sweater. Likewise, if your child easily gets too hot and would be better able to attend to their studies when wearing the lighter uniform, we leave that up to you. There are specific requirements for Mass days in the uniform policy available in the parent handbook on the website. As a special reminder, please make sure that all items are clearly labeled.
The weather last weekend was absolutely perfect for our table at the Falls Church Festival on Saturday. Megan McNamara, Fiona Lewsley and I spent the day greeting prospective families and raising awareness about our wonderful school. What we had not anticipated were the many graduates of St. Anthony School who were so pleased to see us there and know that their alma mater is thriving. Our school community stretches far beyond the families we will see at Bingo Night, but indeed stretches back almost 70 years! I am grateful for the reminder that we are the beneficiaries of all those who have walked these halls before us.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Amy Fry, Principal
