LIGHTHOUSE WELLNESS FESTIVAL

The HOPE Committee (supported by the Mission and Service Committee of MF United) is hosting the Lighthouse Wellness Festival in Wellington North and Minto, from September 8 to 10, there will be a series of events that promote mental wellness in everyday living. Events are free or low-cost. MF United is supporting the festival by hosting two events: a nature meditation walk sponsored by the Green Team, and a Mindful Masterpieces Art Event, sponsored by Laurie Aitken and Janice Benson.

The Raw Carrot Soup Enterprise is starting its 7th year in business! We are offering the popular Soup of the Month Club again this year. TO sign up for a delicious, limited edition soup available for 10 months, contact Janice Benson at (519) 314-7579, or email mtforest@therawcarrot.com.



The Raw Carrot is looking for volunteers to assist on an occasional basis at thrift shows and vendor sales. If you enjoy chatting with people, this is the volunteer opportunity for you! We are also looking for someone who would like to commit to helping cook soup on a regular basis. We meet most Tuesdays to do our cooking. Contact Janice Benson at (519) 314 7579 or mtforest@therawcarrot.com for more information.

Music Ministry Rehearsals: Begin again this coming week! Praise Band starts Sept. 6 (Wednesday) at 8:00 p.m. and Choir starts Sept. 7 (Thursday) at

Annette Connolly has provided administrative and financial support to the Mount Forest and Woodland United Churches and its congregations as well as the various committees for the past 20 years. The Leadership Team would like to acknowledge Annette’s dedication, friendships, and sense of humour during the worship service on Sunday, September 17th.  Join us in wishing Annette all the best on her retirement.

 

There will be no service at Woodland United on Sunday, September 17th to allow those who wish to join Mount Forest United in acknowledging Annette’s contribution to our congregations.
