Sunday morning I just could not quite get this issue of the Hot Finds out before the rush of campers flooded in and the rest of my day was spent welcoming our Week 3 Scouts to camp. So I apologize that some of these auctions may have ended but then again you get to see what they sold for.
This week at camp we have troops from as far away as Louisiana, S. Florida and Alabama. They have come for the unique program we have built along with the great facilities, spirited staff and focus on making camp fun again.
I am looking toward the Jamboree as a vacation. Not many people would say that considering you probably average walking 15 miles/day there. For me it will be the feeling of not being in charge of anything. I can just be a "camper" and enjoy the event without worrying about the weather or staffing. Oh and I hear there is good patch trading there too.
To begin the week I have 142 live auctions on eBay. it's time to reload the auction hopper with more listings so I can keep up the calendar. This week it's all camp patches and World Jamboree issues.
Our first campfire had to happen under cover as a storm just got a little too close to us at the appointed hour. But we have a pretty full week and are looking forward to everyone getting into classes today.
