Let the challenge begin!
Salmon in the Classroom

Salmon in the Classroom is a PTA funded program that is always a huge hit with the students. We're excited to announce that the salmon eggs have arrived in the tank at Rockwell!

They are currently in the eyed egg stage and in a few weeks they will hatch and become alevins. In just over a month they will swim up or emerge from the gravel and become fry. A huge thank you to Mrs. and Mr. T for supervising the fish while they grow.

Stay tuned for more updates!
PTA General Membership Meeting

Thursday, January 20, 7:00PM

Everyone is invited and we hope you'll join us!

We will be voting on important budget issues, and would love input from as many PTA members as possible. If you have any questions about the meeting, please email Denice at president@normanrockwellpta.org
Lunch Recess Volunteers Needed

We have an immediate need for parent volunteers to assist with lunch recess. Volunteers are needed to help Monday through Friday, for shifts between 11:40AM and 1:00PM. Volunteers will help coordinate specific recess activities for kiddos during lunch recess.

Specifically, volunteers will help manage a small group of kids for specific games (i.e. red light/green light game, coloring station, loom band crafts, shark/minnows sports challenges, HORSE basketball games, etc.) We'd love to have 4-6 parents helping each and every day. Even if you're not able to help the whole shift, we'd love the extra hands for even half and hour. In case you'd like to coordinate your volunteer shift to align with your child's recess, here's the recess schedule:

Kindergarten: 11:40AM - 12:00PM
1st Grade: 11:50AM - 12:30PM
2nd Grade: 12:00PM - 12:30PM
3rd Grade: 12:10PM - 12:40PM
4th Grade: 12:20PM - 12:50PM
5th Grade: 12:30PM - 1:00PM

This is an on-going volunteer opportunity, and we'd love for you to sign up for one shift, or even a dozen. To volunteer, please sign-up HERE

PLEASE NOTE: You must be an approved LWSD volunteer (you can apply HERE if you're not already a registered volunteer). You also need to verify your vaccination status with the district, or Stacy Hatch in our front office (you must bring your vaccination card and ID).

If you have any questions, please email Sri at volunteering@normanrockwellpta.org
The Redmond Middle School PTSA is happy to invite you to a presentation on the upcoming LWSD Levies on Tuesday, January 18th 2022 at 7:30PM, online via Microsoft Teams!

LWSD will send a guest speaker to share with us information about the three upcoming LWSD Levies on the February 8 ballot. This is your chance to learn more about how your tax dollars will be used and have your questions answered! We will also have a PTSA General Membership Meeting right after the presentation. In addition to other agenda items, the RMS PTSA Membership will vote on if you want our PTSA organization to support the February Levies. Come make your voice heard!
