Tech Tutoring with Dan First Saturday of Each Month

Tech Tutoring with Dan is back!! Got a gadget that has you down? Have a tech challenge you need help with? Sign up for a 45-minute session with Dan, the amazing tech guru! This program is offered on the first Saturday of each month. If unable to attend a scheduled session, call 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule.

This session does NOT replace professional technical support. Dan is unable to assist with complex topics such as hacked systems, publishing e-books, etc.. Dan may offer advice on these types of topics but will not be able to directly assist.

September 3rd appointments are full. If you would like to be added to the waitlist please email jenna@mononalibrary.org or call 608-222-6127.

TWEENS & TEENS
Monona Public Library has partnered with local artist Rachel Werner (Founder & Creative Director of The Little Book Project, WI; food writer extraordinaire) to produce our first youth-led zine (self-published magazine). The published zine will be available at the library and other organizations in the community to take.

"We Will Not Be Silenced" This title is used to express that youth voices are important in our community and should be heard. The use of "we" is to show that this is coming from us, THE Youth Voice. We are trying to tell the public that even if we are shut down of our ideas, we will continue to fight for a say in our community.

The amazing thing about zines is ANYONE can submit to them with your own unique interests and skills. Not sure what to submit? Here's some ideas: Art/illustration, poetry, personal essay, short story, collage, recipe, word search, crossword, photography, coloring page, journal prompt, etc.

Want to submit your work? Stop in the library to grab a template page (should be submitted on an 8x5 sheet), or upload your work online at: tinyurl.com/youthzineproject.
Deadline: September 30.
