Shepherdess Ministry
During the evening service, we will recognize our women who have recently completed training to become a Shepherdess at Christ Covenant. Those being recognized tonight are the following ladies:
Karra Girard
Alice Guthmann
Kay Haigh
Ashleigh Long
Rhonda Rhino
Wendy Simmons
Denise Wilson
Thank you for your continued ministry at Christ Covenant. To learn more about the Shepherdess Ministry, please contact either Teresa Caldwell (tcaldwell@christcovenant.org) or Ginni Larkins (glarkins@christcovenant.org).
Envision Capital Campaign Update
Christ Covenant Church launched the Envision the Future and Remember the Past Capital Campaign in April 2021 to advance portions of the long-term Master Plan we have for our campus. From the Envision Campaign, improvements have been made to our church buildings and surrounding property to improve accessibility, safety and beauty. The goals that have been accomplished have enhanced online and in-person experiences for our church family and the community we serve. We hope you will pick up an Envision update brochure that can be found on the tables outside the sanctuary to learn about all of the improvements made through Envision.
Serve the City
June 20-23
Christ Covenant Youth Ministry is excited to announce that over 50 of our middle school and high school students will be serving our community through Serve the City 2023! During the week of June 20th through June 23rd, our students will be partnering with local ministries such as Vive Charlotte, Project 658, Rainbow Express Ministries, and the Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center as well as assisting many of Christ Covenant Church’s senior adults with house projects. Pastor Eric Russ will also lead our students in evangelistic training and implementation in the afternoons.

Would you join us in prayer leading up to and during the week of Serve the City? Pray that our students and volunteers would be compelled and emboldened by the gospel to love God and love their neighbors by sharing Christ with those around them! Ask that God would use our students’ words and deeds to plant seeds in the hearts of those our students serve. Pray that God would use this time to develop deep friendships among the middle school and high school students involved in CCYM. And, most importantly, pray that God would be glorified in Charlotte.
'O Nights' - Christ Covenant Church Outreach
Tuesday, June 20
Everyone is invited to join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month for Christ Covenant Outreach Nights, called O Nights. Our next one is this Tuesday, June 20, from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm. We want to provide different spaces where we can learn more about our community while at the same time care for people, take steps of faith to engage others, and avail ourselves to opportunities to share the gospel. It also gives us the opportunity to serve together, to pray for our community, and to see God work in another way.

We will meet in the south lobby of the worship center. If you do not feel comfortable walking, we would love for you to participate by praying on our campus. Please bring your small group, family, etc. and join us! If you have any questions, contact Michelle at mgustavson@christcovenant.org.
Monthly Day of Prayer
Tuesday, June 27
All are invited to participate in the Monthly Day of Prayer on Tuesday, June 27. There are two ways you can participate. There are two ways you can participate. One is to come in-person for your prayer time to the Covenant Day School Conference Room located in the A Building (this room is located next to the church’s main office) anytime between 7:30 am – 7:00 pm. Prayer guides are provided. Another option is to pick a time slot and pray where you are, whether that’s at home or at work. The day is divided into 30-minute segments for individuals to sign up and pray for supported workers and for the needs of our congregation. You can select the time that best fits your schedule by clicking here. We also hope you will take time to submit your confidential prayer requests online by clicking here or by email at prayer@christcovenant.org.

Peach Cobbler Fellowship
Sunday evening, July 16
All are invited to join a time of fellowship and peach cobbler after evening worship on Sunday, July 16. Don’t miss this family fun time to enjoy a sweet treat and fellowship with one another.
Sunday School Resumes August 27
There will not be Sunday School June 4 through August 20. Sunday School will resume on August 27, 2023. This is a new rhythm for us as a church, which allows a rest for our teachers and volunteers, especially in the children’s area.
Volunteer with Children's Ministry
Children’s Ministry is still looking for volunteers for the upcoming year. This is a great opportunity to both invest in the children that you will serve with but also to create community within the congregation. Children’s Ministry would love the chance to place you in a spot to serve where you can connect with others members at Christ Covenant and form a relationship where you might not otherwise. If this sounds like a way that you would be interested in connecting with your fellow church members, email Abigail Cerrato at acerrato@christcovenant.org, and she can give you more information.
Pickup Basketball Fellowship and Outreach
Men's Ministry is starting Pickup Basketball Fellowship and Outreach this spring. We are playing Saturday mornings from 8:00 am - 10:00 am in Christ Covenant's Aux Gym located in the A building (next to the playground). If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Robby Bell at robbybell30@gmail.com for more information.
Envision Capital Campaign
We are hoping to have 100% of the congregation participate in the Envision capital campaign. We are currently at 79%. It’s not too late to turn in your pledge card for the Envision capital campaign! Pledge cards and information about the many upgrades and changes we hope to accomplish through Envision can be found in the brochures and booklets in the worship center and online. You can also make a pledge online at christcovenant.org/envision. We currently have 76% of families participating and $1,187,598 pledges toward our goal of $1,500,000.
