Opportunity for Good:
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made several promises during their campaign with regard to immigration policy. We want to make sure they follow through and take action to:
• End MPP (Migrant Protection Protocols)
• End Child Detention
• Reunite Families
• Stop Deportation Flights
• End For-profit Immigrant Detention
Write a postcard to urge Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to change immigration policy, including requiring asylum-seeking families to stay in Mexico. If you want to join the effort please click through to this form. You will receive printable postcards, addresses, and suggested script.
All Music Holiday Program on December 20th:
What better way to celebrate the holidays than attend UUCC's Annual All-Music Holiday Program! Tap your toes to six (yes, that's 6!) original holiday tunes by Mo Robinson. Other talented musicians include Shauna Pickett-Gordon, piano; Pamela Carrington-Tribble, flute and vocals; Vera Vanderschalk, classical guitar; and singers: LindaGrace Frost, Tom Devine, MPUUC Choir & Friends, and Krista Enos' Advanced A Cappella Ensemble. Come early since music starts at 10:45am.

100% of our holiday collection will support the vital work of the Coastside Adult Day Health Center. CADHC makes it possible for many local seniors and adults with disabilities to stay at home and out of nursing homes.

If you are not able to join us on the 20th, please consider making a direct online donation here or send CADHC a check to 925 Main Street, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. Be sure and mention that you are with UUCC.

Our Following Sunday Service, January 3rd:
For January 2021, the congregational theme is Consolation and Desolation. On January 3rd, Bill Heavlin explores this topic through a sermon entitled "These Mere Bones to Lean On." Inspired by New Zealand's response to the March 2019 shootings at three mosques, Bill connects the ability to console both to UU values and to the disciplined pursuit of self-knowledge.
Thank you!
We are particularly grateful to Tricia Dell for coordinating with the Coastside Adult Day Care Center on behalf of UUCC. During COVID 19, CADHC managed to pivot and is now providing much of that care at home, all while facing the cancellation of their most important fundraisers, Dream Machines and the Pumpkin Festival. Please join us for a spectacular music program on December 20th. Why not invite a friend or two to enjoy the fun?
UUCC Sunday Service Survey:
Thanks to the 18 of you who have already filled out the survey for reimagining UUCC Zoom services in 2021. We'd like to hear from everyone, of course. We are looking to shorten elements of our produced services in 2021 and need your input on what has been working for you and how we can improve.

The first part of the survey will ask you which of our service elements you like most and which elements could be reduced or eliminated altogether. The second part of the survey will provide you with six different options for reimagining UUCC Zoom services in 2021, helping to reduce the overall production load on a very small production team. For a link to the survey, please click here.
Joys & Concerns:
One of the ways we weave community is by sharing aspects of our lives with each other, our joys and concerns. For our upcoming service, please email your Joys & Concerns to uucoastside@gmail.com.
Compassionate Caring Committee:
The UUCC Compassionate Caring Committee volunteers are often able to support our members during life events such as post-operative, illness, or can’t go out. Do you need food delivery or an errand run? Are you feeling loneliness, loss, or grief that a call might help?

Please contacuucoastside@gmail.com if you’d like support or if you want to volunteer.
