Reaching out to those in need this holiday season
In our St. James’ tradition, we ask you to consider how you might brighten someone’s holiday. 2020 has taken a toll on so many, especially the elderly, those with limited finances, and those without homes. Due to the Coronavirus, we need to make a few changes in how we answer that need. Please consider if either or both opportunities for giving might fit in your holiday giving plans this year:
Adopt-a-Family
We've overjoyed by the generous response we have received again this year for those in the Adopt-a-Family program.
Twenty long-time residents living at the Brandywine Nursing Home and who are without families will receive gifts from their Christmas wish lists thanks to your donations.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity during this time.

Emmanuel Dining Room
Warm socks, gloves, and hats are needed for the winter season.
While most of our guests are adults, we do have many children during the holiday season. So, all sizes are appreciated!
Below are the “CONTACTLESS DROP OFF” dates/times we will be in the parish hall parking lot and there to receive your donations of socks/gloves/hats.
- Monday, 12/7 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Friday, 12/11 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Sunday, 12/13 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Due to Covid guidelines, we ask that you please do not drop off your donations at the parish hall or church.
