Crews are still working to establish the pedestrian connection along the north side of Sears Lane between the Harrison Avenue/Sears Lane railroad crossing and Pine Street. Starting TOMORROW, Wednesday, August 30, the concrete sidewalk connection between the staging area (across from Kaigle’s Service Center) and Pine Street will be open (shown in green in the graphic below). The pedestrian connection between the railroad crossing and the newly installed concrete sidewalk (shown in pink in the graphic below) is currently prepped for paving and consists of a gravel surface. Sears Lane will be reduced to a single lane as work continues on that section of the pedestrian connection. During school drop-off and pick-up periods, flaggers will escort pedestrians from the railroad crossing to the newly installed sidewalk within the closed lane. One-way alternating traffic for motorists will be maintained through the use of flaggers. |
