Yearbook Cover Contest Congratulations!

Thank you again to all the students who submitted artwork for the Yearbook Cover Contest!

Principal Clark and Associate Principal Gallagher loved looking through the pictures, words and themes in this year's entries. Everyone did an incredible job!

Teacher Birthday Luncheon

Last Thursday the PTA hosted a luncheon to celebrate all of our Rockwell staff birthdays. A huge shoutout to Cydney Knapp for putting so much time and effort into making this luncheon such a success.

Special thanks to Janelle, Sri and Stephanie for jumping in at the last minute to help host. You're all amazing!
Send a Teacher a Valentine

Teachers and staff have been working incredibly hard. This Valentine's Day, let them know how much you appreciate them. 5th Grade Baby Photos

It's a Rockwell tradition that we include 5th grade student's baby photos in the yearbook. If you'd like to participate in this tradition, please send a baby photo to yearbook@normanrockwellpta.org.

Please send a high/full resolution photo & include your student's name in the filename.

Deadline is March 4th, 2022.
Math Challenge #8
Due by Thursday, February 3rd

Math Challenge #8 is now available here.

For this challenge, lucky prize winners will be randomly selected from qualified submissions. Please feel free to try more questions than the minimum required for your grade level in order to qualify. Grab some friends and family and work on the challenges together! Once your student completes the challenge email their paper by the due date to: mathchallenge@normanrockwellpta.org

The due date for Math Challenge #8 is Thursday, February 3rd.

School Spirit Day - Space/Sci-Fi Day
Wednesday, January 26th

Celebrate school spirit by rocking your favorite space and/or science fiction themed threads! NASA shirt? Alien socks? Star Trek hoodie? Let's see it!

What is school spirit day? It's a special day where students show their pride and enthusiasm for their school by dressing up in line with the day's theme.

Spirit Days will be the last Wednesday of each month. For June, it will be the Wednesday before we break for summer.
Lunch Recess Volunteers Needed


We have an immediate need for parent volunteers to assist with lunch recess. Volunteers are needed to help Monday through Friday, for shifts between 11:40AM and 1:00PM. Volunteers will help coordinate specific recess activities for kiddos during lunch recess.

Specifically, volunteers will help manage a small group of kids for specific games (i.e. red light/green light game, coloring station, loom band crafts, shark/minnows sports challenges, HORSE basketball games, etc.) We'd love to have 4-6 parents helping each and every day. Even if you're not able to help the whole shift, we'd love the extra hands for even half and hour. In case you'd like to coordinate your volunteer shift to align with your child's recess, here's the recess schedule:

Kindergarten: 11:40AM - 12:00PM
1st Grade: 11:50AM - 12:30PM
2nd Grade: 12:00PM - 12:30PM
3rd Grade: 12:10PM - 12:40PM
4th Grade: 12:20PM - 12:50PM
5th Grade: 12:30PM - 1:00PM

This is an on-going volunteer opportunity, and we'd love for you to sign up for one shift, or even a dozen. To volunteer, please sign-up HERE

PLEASE NOTE: You must be an approved LWSD volunteer (you can apply HERE if you're not already a registered volunteer). You also need to verify your vaccination status with the district, or Stacy Hatch in our front office (you must bring your vaccination card and ID).
