What Has Changed with PCMO and Why Should You Be Aware?
PCMO (Passenger Car Motor Oil) has been through a series of ongoing changes to address challenges with newer engine technologies, driven by regulations to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy.

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have been tasked with implementing hardware changes to meet these requirements. A few of these newer technologies include timing chain advancements, gasoline direct injection (GDI), turbocharged GDI engines, start/stop technologies, and variable valve timing. However, with these newer technologies, issues have arisen that have required changes in engine oil formulations.

With the United LubeAdvisor tool you can quickly find the recommended United products for your equipment by entering the make, model, and year. Specification sheets and SDS files for the recommended products are easily accessible from the results page. You also have the ability to print and email the full report for easy organization of your records.
