Currently Seeking Nominations for the
2022 Board of Directors

The Nominating Committee of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for the 2022 Board of Directors. Any representative from a Chamber member business in good standing is eligible for nomination. Directors serve three-year terms, the next term commencing in January 2022. Former directors are eligible to serve on the board one year after the conclusion of their previous term.
Directors help shape Chamber operations and promote business in the community to support the local climate and economy of our area. They take part in crucial economic discussions and serve as ambassadors for the Chamber of Commerce. Board members bring their unique skills to the table for the betterment and advancement of our county.
Directors are expected to attend board meetings, typically held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Chamber office. They contribute by serving on various committees within the Chamber board.
Nominations must be received by the Nominating Committee no later than Friday, November 5, 2021. Once a slate of nominees has been selected, a formal ballot will be mailed to the membership.

AAA7 Offers
Telephone Support Group for Caregivers
Caregivers are a vital part of the healthcare system – they provide loving and essential care to their family or loved one. As part of their role, it is important for caregivers to have a resource to reach out to if they need help and support. Through the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7), a Caregiver Telephone Support Group is available for the ten core counties the Agency serves which include Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton. The next call will take place on Thursday, November 18th from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. All family caregivers are welcome and invited to participate.

Have yourself a western Christmas at this old-timey Ohio village
There’s a Wild West-themed Christmas attraction tucked away in the hills of southern Ohio.
East of Cincinnati, Dogwood Pass will shine bright during the Christmas season.
The secluded late-1800s Old West Town was designed to be as authentic as possible, a living history town keeping with the spirit of the Old West.
The only thing you’ll find from this century are twinkling lights adorning the wooden facades of the town’s saloon, bank, livery stable and general store.
There’s plenty of Christmas cheer planned for the month of December, including spectacular light shows, holiday performances, Wild West shows and visits from Santa and the Grinch.

UPCYCLING WORKSHOP
The FREE Tax Preparation and Financial Literacy Program at the Community Action Committee of Pike County is offering an Upcycling Workshop the evening of Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the OhioMeansJobs Career Center of Pike County located at 941 Market Street in Piketon.
This workshop is being offered at no cost. The workshop will explore how to reuse, revamp, and remake common everyday items into new gift ideas for the Holiday season. Projects will be made in class for students to take home!
