Blood In High Demand
The nation is experiencing the worst blood shortage in over a decade according to the American Red Cross. The dangerously low blood supply levels have forced some hospitals to defer patients from major surgery, including organ transplants. You can help make a difference. The Lakeway Community Blood Drive is hosting another blood drive this Saturday (January 15) starting at 8 a.m. at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). Enhanced health and safety protocols will be in place to ensure your safety. This blood drive is by appointment only. If appointments fill up, you may be added to a short waitlist.
